France legend Zinedine Zidane said today that his 15-year-old son Enzo, who is already a star of Real Madrid's youth team, may eventually play for Spain.

"When he's called up, that's the time that I will decide," Zidane said in Madrid, in comments carried by sports newspaper AS.

"If Spain call him up, it will be good, and if it's France, it will be good too," the former Real and France playmaker said.

"For the moment, he is enjoying football with Madrid and that's what's important."

AS recently carried a front-page story on Enzo Zidane, describing him as one of the best players in his team and who had inherited his father's talent.

Zidane, who retired from football after his last season with Real and the 2006 World Cup, lives in the Spanish capital with his family.

He is also a special adviser to the chairman of Real, Florentino Perez.
