Maltese Dominicans at General Chapter

Maltese Dominican provincial Fr Paul Gatt, together with Fr John Xerri, OP, are currently in Rome, taking part in the 290th General Chapter of the Dominican Order, which opened last Wednesday and ends on September 21. Bro Reno Muscat, OP, is also attending as part of the support team.

During the meeting, which takes place every three years for Dom­inicans from all over the world to review the order’s life and mission, a new master will also be chosen to succeed Fr Carlos Aspiroz Costa, OP, an Argentinian canon lawyer who has served as order master for the past nine years.

The new master will be the 78th successor of St Dominic.
