From September 13, the University of the Third Age (U3E) will accept applications from those interested in attending lectures in the 2010/11 programme which starts on October 4. Application forms can be collected from and handed in at the U3E office at the Catholic Institute, from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and noon.
Lectures will be held from Monday to Thursday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Floriana centre and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sliema centre.
Each module comprises eight lectures. The modules and lecturers of the 2010/2011 programme:
Statues and shrines in Malta, by Tony Terribile; The development of Malta’s political parties, by Prof. Joe Pirotta; Paul: the man and his message, by Fr Marcello Ghirlando; Caravaggio and paintings of Realism, by Dr Keith Sciberras; Notarial legislation in Malta by Dr Sandra Valentino.
