England striker Jermain Defoe scored a hat-trick as England went to the top of Euro 2012 Group G with a 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley.

Defoe struck after three minutes and again in the second half before Adam Johnson scored his first England goal.

Defoe wrapped up the scoring with a fine finish before going off with an injury he sustained in the process.

Mirko Vucinic enhanced his soaring reputation by firing Montenegro to a 1-0 win over Wales.

The Roma striker, linked with both Manchester clubs earlier this year, struck after 30 minutes to hand the hosts a deserved victory against a ragged Welsh side in Podgorica.
