Malta is the guest of honour of the 64th edition of the Fair of Châlons en Champagne being held until Monday.
The country was invited to be guest of honour by the Conseil General de la Marne.
The Fair of Châlons en Champagne is a very prestigious and important fair and it is considered to be only second in importance to the renowned Salon de l’Agriculture, the annual show-case of the French agricultural produce.
Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino is expected to visit the fair tomorrow, visiting the Malta stand and meeting the main decision-makers of the region.
In the evening he will also meet a number of cooperatives of the region and discuss co-operation in the agro-alimentary industry.
The Malta stand has so far been a great success with visitors.
Visitors can obtain information on tourism, investing in Malta or they can just savour Maltese food and appreciate Maltese manufacture
Those who have never been to Malta can also appreciate the Maltese stone which is being exhibited by a Maltese company based in France.
