The government cut the price of another 29 medicinal products by between four and 39 per cent, less than two months after 62 medicines also became cheaper.
The reductions, which will come into effect with the next stock, is on medicines used to treat heart disease, blood pressure, cholesterol, stomach ulcers and acid, psoriasis and muscular pain and inflammation.
The price of seven products will decrease by 4-10 per cent, 17 products will see a drop in price of between 11 and 20 per cent, another four medicinals will become cheaper by 21 to 30 per cent and the price of another medicine will be cut by 39 per cent.
The brands are Atacand, Cataflam, Crestor, Diprosalic Scalp Applications, Elocon Famvir, Fosrenol, Fucithalmic, Klacid, Lescol, Losec, Simvacor, Subutex, Tegretol, Tenoretic, Tenormin, Voltaren, Zestoretic and Zestril.

The change comes after medicine importers agreed to modify prices following negotiations with the government.
