Having decided to subscribe to the Go TV service in addition to the Melita service because of the football musical chairs and after resigning myself to the usual politicians’ blabber and the regulator’s inertia, I have just been dealt a further blow.

In Melita’s infinite wisdom, subscribing to the sports channels is not enough. They now created two new channels, Football Stars 1 and 2. Of course, the Bundesliga and La Liga are now being screened on these two channels and not on the sports channels as was done before. The reason? You guessed it! You of course need to subscribe to a higher package to get access to those channels. Where is the regulator in all this? Why are such sensitive posts always occupied by political appointees with no will power to act in favour of the consumers?

What a sham! Silly me for subscribing to both!
