Injured in fall

A 28-year-old Syrian national sustained grievous injuries when he fell a height of two storeys in a house still under construction in St Julians yesterday afternoon. The police said they were summoned to the house located in St George Road at about 4 p.m.

A 28-year-old Syrian national sustained grievous injuries when he fell a height of two storeys in a house still under construction in St Julians yesterday afternoon.

The police said they were summoned to the house located in St George Road at about 4 p.m. to assist. The police did not specify what the injured man was doing inside the house nor how the fall occurred.

Civil Protection Department personnel and a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital also arrived on site and the man, who resides in Fgura, was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries but was not in a critical condition.
