Hunters and trappers should keep strictly within the codes of conduct of the organisations that represented them, observe bird-conservation regulations and respect the rights of farmers and other countryside users during the autumn season, which opens tomorrow.

In a statement, the Federation for Hunting and Conservation and St Hubert Hunters augured all hunters and trappers a happy season and reminded members that, in spite of their renewed protests, the unjust measure of the September afternoon hunting ban was still on, and had to be adhered to, pending its withdrawal.

“Members are urged not to react to any provocation and not to allow themselves to be used in any way by hunting saboteurs, but to report any incident immediately to the FKNK or the police” the organisations said.
