A new ARMS centre will be opening in Blata l-Bajda later this year, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said this morning.

The new centre will be at Gattard House in Blata l-Bajda. District office are also planned.

The minister said that because of the installation of new systems there was a backlog of people who had customer care problems.

He said that a bug in the new system through which not all data inputted was registered, was being seen to.

The minister was speaking during the inauguration of an Enemalta district office in Mosta.

The aim of office, which cost around €120,000, was to be an interface between the public and the corporation for any problems that might arise. This centre will cover Mosta, Naxxar, St Paul tat-Targa, Gharghur and the environs.

The corporation planned to open another centre in Kappara soon.

It was also installing new cables and investing in the Scada system, a system that would allow the corporation to control sub-stations through continuous monitoring of traditionally unmanned distribution centres.
