A man yesterday pleaded guilty to harassing his former girlfriend.

Massimo Tivisini, 42, of Pieta, has been charged with this crime five times.

This morning he was charged with smashing the window of his former girlfriend’s car, driving dangerously, smashing the girl’s mobile phone, threatening, assaulting and insulting her, relapsing, and committing a crime during the operative period of a suspended jail term.

Police sources said that Mr Tivisini stalked the girl, smashed her car window on the driver’s side and tried to pull her out of the window.

When she tried to call the police on her mobile phone, he smashed it.

Mr Tivisini was remanded in custody until sentencing on September 14.

He was last charged with harassing the girl on June 15. Then he had pleaded not guilty.
