This is the second year HSBC Malta has been confirmed best-in-class for the quality of internet service it provides to customers.
Winning banks were selected based on the following criteria: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from internet initiatives, and website design and functionality.

This is the same internet banking that doesn't allow you to type the letter 't' into any of the fields when doing your transactions. When I called up to complain about the issue, I got a response that they knew about the issue and didn't know when it would be fixed. HSBC where you have to copy and paste the letter 't' to use it properly.
I bet I know who sponsored these awards.

Extremely perplexiing that an award for best internet banking does not include in the criteria for this award the costs incurred by the customer to operate such an account. However,if this was the case then HSBC would not win such an award given that the World's so-called local bank is highly selective in inflicting a fee for this mutually beneficial service, as what other countries in the English speaking world does HSBC impose a tariff for a customer to operate an internet account?

@ Anthony
On the contrary dear Anthony. This will give them the boost needed to increase it even further. Just wait a few more months.

Shame they can't do something about the huge queues in every HSBC branch I visit.
Still, at least HSBC are better at customer service than BoV or, even worse, Banif!!!

"HSBC Malta won the country award for Best Consumer Internet Bank".
Well done HSBC Malta for the award!
P.S. Perhaps now, we, your loyal clients, can continue using Express Banking without the ridiculous, yearly fee incurred on the login key.
