Cana Movement founder Mgr Charles Vella, and Tony and Lily Gauci, Confederation of Christian Family Movements Europe presidents, will be taking part in the World Assembly of Families to be held in Goa, India, from September 10 to 14.

The assembly, themed ‘The challenges to the family in the emerging global reality’, is organised by the International Confederation of Christian Family Movements (ICCFM).

The world assembly, which is held every three years, was held in Malta in 1995.

Mgr Vella, who is also one of the founders of ICCFM, will take part as one of the speakers from Europe in the panel presentation on ‘The sacrament of matrimony – Emerging trends and practices’.

Mr and Mrs Gauci will deliver a talk about the ‘Institution and importance of the sacrament of matrimony’. They have attended all world assemblies since 1992.
