I invite the St Paul’s Bay mayor and councillors to watch the people coming out of Qawra church on Sunday, especially along Triq is-Sajjied and Triq l-10 ta’ Frar.

They would notice the people walking on the road rather than on the pavement. Do they know why these people prefer to risk life and limb? If not, it’s because they have never tried to use these badly-constructed pavements themselves.

These so-called pavements have been built to accommodate the garage owners and nobody else. I pity anybody with a pram or in a wheelchair needing to pass this way.
