Two Maltese boxers in London training camp

Roland Sammut and Louanna Marmara, two members of the I&J Amateur Boxing Club, Mosta, have just returned from a nine-day training camp in London.

The two Maltese boxers were hosted and coached by George Brown, head coach at Crawley Amateur Boxing Club.

Besides having the opportunity to train and spar with foreign boxers and learn new training ideas, Sammut and Marmara made new friends through their sporting discipline, which is what amateur boxing is all about.

The Crawley team will visit Malta early next month to participate in a boxing event being held on September 10 at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

The I&J club is organising the event with the help of the Malta Boxing Federation.
