The third and final phase of a €40 million investment by Farsons is underway as construction work began on a new €14 million brewhouse.

This last phase consists of the new brewhouse as well as new malt storage facilities, new ­quality control laboratories, offices for the technical staff and a new water treatment plant.

The brewhouse is planned to be commissioned in 2012 with the water treatment plant becoming operational the following year.

Works on a new soft drinks plant and a logistics centre had started in 2005 and were completed in 2007.
