A 30-year-old Libyan man, who lives in Msida, who was driving a rented Peugeot 206 was slightly injured in a crash with a bus in Valley Road, Msida, at around 1.20 p.m.

Both the bus, driven by a 23-year-old man from Marsaxlokk, and the car were being driven in the direction of Birkirkara.

The Civil Protection Department had to help the man out of the car and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The bus driver, who was not uninjured, said that the Peugeot driver tried to overtake him from the inner lane. The bus, route 350, was on its way to University but it did not have any passengers.

In another accident at Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street, Msida, a man was slightly injured in a collision between four vehicles.

The collision happened after a car lost one of its wheels. The injured man was in a van which had the front and back seats divided by a metal sheet and he hit his head with this sheet.
