A prisoner who was due to get out of jail in January will be locked up for another four years after he pleaded guilty to defrauding five people and Vodafone of around €80,000.

Olaf Cini, 50, is currently in jail after filing a false police report.

He told the court this morning that he did not have a lawyer, he did not want to be represented by one and he also did not want the court to appoint one.

He said he understood the charges against him and wanted to plead guilty.

Mr Cini also told the court that he had started to pay back the victims and while Vodafone would be paid shortly, the others would be paid within the next two weeks.
