A 27-year-old man from Valletta was this morning jailed for six years after he pleaded guilty to carrying out a hold-up at Floriana Dispensary last Thursday.

Allan Grima, 27, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for holding the shop assistant against his will and for stealing handbags and jewellery from a Maltese woman and from a 66-year-old Belgian tourist.

Magistrate Edwina Grima brought into force a suspended jail term Mr Grima had been given previously bringing his total term in prison to six years.
