MEA signs agreement with Montenegrin employers

The Malta Employers’ Association has signed a cooperation agreement with the Montenegrin Employers’ Federation during a visit as part of a presidential delegation to Montenegro.

The agreement provides for possible collaboration between the two employer bodies in a number of areas, including direct contacts for the purpose of exchange of information, definition and realisation of mutual projects concerning employers’ education, participation in projects concerning regional networking and in international projects under the patronage of international organisations and co-operation in employers’ representation at annual ILO conferences.

MEA has been in contact with the Montenegro Association for some time through its participation in the IOE (International Organisation of Employers) at the International Labour Conference which is held annually in Geneva.

In September, the MEA will be hosting the annual general meeting of the international section of the International Organisation of Employers which is the world’s largest network of employers.
