Cigarettes seized
Some 4.6 million contraband cigarettes were seized at the Freeport by the Customs Department, which would have seen Malta making a €780,000 tax loss, the department said in a statement.
The cigarettes were found in a container which arrived from outside the EU. The container was supposed to be carrying electrical goods.

WHY IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE IS THE CONTAINER LINE NOT MENTIONED? AS FAR AS I KNOW, THIS IS A RECORD SEIZURE AT MALTA FREEPORT. ALSO INSTEAD OF INVESTING IN CAMPAINS AGAINST CIGARETTES ONE IS RELEIVED THAT 780,000 EUROS WERE NOT TAX LOST!!!!!!!!
