Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso has reiterated his desire to join Roma on a permanent basis despite strong interest from Juventus.
The 29-year-old established himself as a key player during his loan spell with Roma last season.
Claudio Ranieri has been keen to sign Burdisso permanently but Inter have been playing hardball in negotiations with the result that the Argentine has been at the centre of the most drawn out transfer saga of the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported yesterday that Burdisso has told Juventus he is flattered by their interest but his mind is set on joining Roma.
The Giallorossi are hoping that a deal can be reached next week when club boss Rosella Sensi meets Inter president Massimo Moratti.
