The Ministry of Education, Employment and the Family has issued a call for applications for the appointment of the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.

The council is made up of a chairman and 10 members. One of the 11 members represents the government, another serves as commissioner ex officio and the other nine are appointed as follows: five from among the voluntary sector and the other four representing founders of and donors to voluntary organisations, members of voluntary organisations and volunteers, administrators of voluntary organisations and foreign and international organisations respectively.

Nominations from voluntary organisations will be received by the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations by next Friday.
