CAMILLERI. On August 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN CHARLES, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Line née Darmanin, his brother Raphael and his wife Gussie, Tony and his wife Mary and his sisters Marie Therese Debono and Magda Camilleri, his in-laws Hélène Fiorini Lowell, Marie-Louise and her husband Vincent Camilleri and Roland Darmanin Kissaun and his wife Doreen, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday at 9 a.m. for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff for all their care and attention. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CIAPPARA. On August 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANGELO of Naxxar, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Maryann, Joyce and her husband Charles Azzopardi, Pawlu and his wife Lina, Sonja and her husband Paul Xuereb and Angela and her husband Jesmond Grima, his grandchildren Donald, Lianne, Melinda, Ian, Carlos, Annalise, Janice, Mathias, Alexia and Kylie, and Mary, widow of his brother Victor, who resides in America, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.15 a.m. for Naxxar parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. GALEA. On August 19, GEORGE, ex-Farsons agent, aged 85, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Agnes, his children Rosette and husband Nicholas Schembri, Charles and wife Alice, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, his nephews and niece, Justin, Nicolette, and Liam, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei ­Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. MALLIA. On August 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, RONALD of Johnsons Stationers, aged 63, passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gladys, his children Stefan and his fiancée Rose Marie, Lara, Louisa and her husband Lee Connell, his granddaughter Mattea, his brothers and sisters, Joe and his wife Rosette, Eric and his wife Pina, Antoinette and her husband Stephen Overend, Cynthia and her husband Alfred Pace, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Valletta, where a Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Requiem Mass

Being the trigesima die of the death of ALBERT CAMILLERI, tomorrow’s 11.30 a.m. Mass at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.

Get-Together

Power cuts

Charity dive

Anyone over 10 years of age can give diving a go against a €15 donation in aid of Dar tal-Providenza on September 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Exiles in Sliema.
