The 2010/11 football season has just kicked off and England’s Barclays Premier League will once again bring to Maltese television the excitement of the best league in the world thanks to its partnership with Go.

The Premier League has expressed its satisfaction in having a new partner in Go within the Maltese territory for the exclusive live transmission of the Barclays Premier League. In addition, GO has the exclusive rights of the Italian Serie A starting later on August 28.

Paul Molnar, head of international broadcasting and media operations of the Premier League, said: “The Premier League is excited to have a new partner in Go within the Maltese territory. The Premier League enjoys an excellent relationship with Go and is confident that Barclays Premier League fans in Malta will enjoy the best possible coverage of the most exciting league in the world.” Mr Molnar added: “The Premier League reaffirms that Go is the only TV broadcaster in Malta with exclusive live rights to the league starting August 14, for the next three seasons ending May 2013.”

He praised Go for its strong commitment to the Premier League and noted Go’s recent announcements related to the investment in the TV network, state-of-the-art headend and playout facilities.

Talking about the next season, Mr Molnar said: “We remain committed to putting on the best possible show, in top stadia with full attendance and the best playing talent on the pitch. This will ensure that Go gets full value from the rights offering and its subscribers enjoy the same quality of football from the Barclays Premier League as they have enjoyed in recent seasons.”

Go’s chief executive officer David Kay said Go is totally committed to give its Go sports customers the best level of service, viewing experience and customer care.
