Canon launches new portable scanner

Canon has just launched the industry’s smallest, fastest and most portable A4 duplex scanner on the Maltese market – theP-150M.

Building on its award-winning Imageformula line, Canon has created the ultra-compact multi-platform scanner for professionals whose job often takes them out of the office and away from their desks.

With class-leading high-speed duplex scanning of up to 30 pages a minute and a large 20-sheet batch automatic document feeder, the P-150M is a real productivity driver.

It lets users do more as they simultaneously scan both sides of a document at impressive speeds, and with superb colour image quality, using just USB power.

Its convenient USB-powered operation means it doesn’t need access to mains power. Users can simply connect the scanner’s USB cable to the USB port of a computer, and start scanning.

The mobile scanner has a multi-platform system that works on Mac, PC and Linux. Its ease of use and unique built-in Capture On Touch Lite software for one-touch scanning delivers true plug-and-scan flexibility and simplicity. It has a MacTwain driver for simple integration with Mac imaging applications like iPhoto, or with Evernote, the cloud-based data management solution.

The P-150M has a smart and attractive black piano finish, cutting-edge modern space-saving design, and a light chassis making it easy to carry around, or for use in home and office where space is at a premium. The P-150M has also clinched the Product Design Award for 2010.
