Why are some streets in Victoria so dirty? I refer particularly to certain parts of Charity Street, De Soldanis Street and the area where St Andrew Street joins with Palm Street.

It seems cats are allowed to rummage through rubbish bins at particular corners or areas every day and the resulting litter in that particular spot is not regularly cleaned up.

This is causing terrible smells and ugly black spots all around the old quarters of Victoria without anyone taking any notice or caring to clean them. Can these old streets not be thoroughly cleaned with water and soap or some convenient liquid at least once a week, thus making the old town more welcoming?

The present situation definitely does no honour to Victoria’s ancient motto: A Magna Maxima.
