Victoria council to refurbish playing field

Victoria council is waiting for the release of the reviewed plans for Gozo and Comino to be able to file a refurbishment application for Victoria playing field, which was recently passed on to the council by the government.

Victoria mayor Samuel Azzopardi said it was important that the plans are published as soon as possible for the council to carry on with the much needed refurbishment of the playing field and kiosk.

Dr Azzopardi said the playing field would be turned into a family-oriented recreational area, including a children’s area, a reading area, a youth lounge and a brand new kiosk. There will also be a Wifi connection.

Dr Azzopard said the council’s aim was to offer families a decent place where they could spend some time together in a clean and relaxing environment.
