The Malta Employers’ Association has signed a cooperation agreement with the Montenegrin Employers’ Federation during a visit as part of a presidential delegation to Montenegro.

The agreement provides for possible collaboration between the two employer bodies in a number of areas, including direct contacts for the purpose of exchange of infor­mation, definition and realisation of mutual projects concerning em­ployers’ education, participation in projects con­cerning regional net­working and in international projects under the patronage of international organisations and co-operation in employers’ represen­tation at annual ILO conferences.

MEA has been in contact with the Montenegro association for some time through its participation in the International Organisation of Employers at the International Labour Conference which is held annually in Geneva.

In September the MEA will be hosting the annual general meeting of the international section of the International Organisation of Employers, which is the world’s largest network of employers.
