ELSA Malta (European Law Students Association) expresses its deepest condolences to Guido de Marco’s family.

Professor de Marco was dedicated to teaching second year law students and continued to lecture despite his old age. In contrast to most other professors, his lecturing style involved discussion and debate with students. He inspired many law students and taught us to think and analyse carefully each word in the law.

One of Prof. de Marco’s late dreams was that of revising the Mamo Notes, which are the Maltese Criminal Law notes currently in use. ELSA Malta intends to take on such project in his honour.

Prof. De Marco will be remembered for the contribution he made to his country and to the legal profession.
