To day I read about 4 cases of robery and what they all got susspended centences,,how can the court justify a susspended sentence, stealing so many rings braclets and necklaces, what you got to do to be sent to prison in Malta. They go back telling their friends,go and steal in Malta, they wont send you to prison.
What a joke

The Romanian’s have such a bad reputation that we must find a way to monitor who comes in and out in the airport and by sea, it is essential that control of all the undesirables’ categories be pushed out before they do harm.

Anyone can tell me whether the victims got their property back?

Were they expelled from the country or are they still enjoying our famed hospitality ? ! If they are allowed to stay, they will definitely do it again; they have to ' earn ' a living !

@ Javier,
My friend it isn,t,t just the Basques that are a problem, its also the Catalonians, The Bretons, The Corsicans, The Padania, and even the good old Belgians are now at it.
The EU is a fictitious state which has no united army,no united foreign policy, different money system, different languages, different cultures , different immigration rules etc..
I just can,t see how adding Turkey with its own problems can ever unite or improve the quality of life for Europeans.

Don't worry s.koludrovic. As someone usually says, the EU isn't going to last very long.

and then certain nationalities complain that they are being discriminated against.
ALL nationalities have their problematic portion of people but certain nationalities hav taken on a ''name'' such as in italy,,,,, a certain neighbour of italy has taken a very bad reputation.
unfotunately,,,,, these nationalities have become so hardened from their recent poltical pasts that for them,,,, the ''advanced'' modern and lenent society such as in europe and america,,,, everyhting an everyone is ''easy prey.

Why are they all getting suspended sentences? This is simply sending a message that all they get is a slap on the wrist and they keep what they had stolen.

They would not even reach the police if they tried to pick my pocket.

Well some European countries wanted Romenia inside the EU, this is the flip side of what they got. Next on the list is Turkey with its Kurdish problems. Lets enjoy whats left of Europe till we can.

S.KOLUDROVIC :
i assume from your surname that you are coming from some kind of ex Yugoslav country which is most probably already in the EU or maybe on the verge of joining. If this is the case, I can easily assure you that Turkey can join the EU if EU managed to accept ex Yugoslav or Baltic countries.
Regarding your comment about Kurdish problems, are you saying the same comments about Spain with their problems with Basque?

@Charles Micallef.
Oh, come on, Charles. They would still be prosecuted if their only crime was to take a dip, naked, in Paceville at 5.20am.
