Libya and Malta have agreed on the setting up in Malta of a centre for the training of personnel from Libya and other Mediterranean states in top and middle management. The centre will be housed at the Libyan Institute at Ta' Giorni.

The setting up of the centre was among subjects discussed on Sunday when Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi had talks with the Libyan Prime Minister in Tripoli.

The main purpose of Dr Gonzi's visit to Libya was to visit PalmCity, a village outside Tripoli aimed mostly for expatriates. It is managed by the Corinthia Group.
