According to a Misco survey commissioned by The Sunday Times, 40 per cent of the Maltese population are in favour of divorce. 14 per cent are undecided.
Some weeks ago Malta Today conducted another opinion poll which concluded that 59 per cent are in favour of divorce. So, in line with the Misco survey, 40 per cent added to, let’s say, eight per cent of the undecided, together would amount to 48 per cent in favour of divorce. This means that in just few weeks, the Maltese and Gozitans who back the indissolubility of marriage have increased by 11 per cent.
God knows how to touch our hearts and I am deeply convinced that, by his all-powerful grace, the number of Catholic Maltese and Gozitans believing in the indissolubility of marriage, according to the infallible teaching of Christ and his one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, will continue to increase.
