Swiss architect Pierre de Meuron points out towards the overall view of Hamburg during a visit to the construction site of the Hamburg Philharmonic Hall (Elbphilharmonie) in Hamburg, northern Germany, designed and created by Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron. The new concert hall aimed at rivalling the Sydney Opera House as a global attraction is scheduled to be inaugurated in May 2012, but construction delays and a cost explosion have soured public support for the ambitious project.
