Fire at distribution centre leads to power cuts in Zabbar, Hal Far area
Enemalta engineers and technicians are working hard and restore electricity to the Hal Far and Zurrieq area after a fire caused extensive damage to the Enemalta Hal Far Distribution Centre early this morning.
Enemalta said the fire broke out at around 1.15 a.m. It said its engineers were working to try to bypass this station to restore electricity to the affected areas.
CPD and Enemalta fire fighters were on site within minutes bringing the fire under control but important equipment suffered severe damage.
No one was injured during the fire, the cause of which has not yet been identified.

It is in tatters and kept going by super super glue. It's exactly like our roads, a pattern of holes joined by bits of tarmac as someone had said some time ago.

According our local TV stations the MFA elections and other secondary events have a higher news vaue than this one, even if Enemalta and CPD personell had to risk their lives to limit the damages the Enemalta equipment. Shame!!
