Two foreigners have been injured in separate falls but although both are suffering from grievous injuries, they are not in danger.

The police said that a 21-year-old Czech fell into a shaft early this morning at a place still under construction at Xemxija Hill, St Paul’s Bay.

The man was helped out of the shaft by members of the Civil Protection Department.

In another incident, a Syrian working at a construction site in Gwanni Mamo Street, Luqa, fell about a storey at around 8 a.m.
