Premier League club Tarxien Rainbows yesterday announced the signing of Brazilian striker Daniel Mariano Bueno.

Bueno, 27, played for Tarxien on their return to the top flight two years ago before moving to the Polish league.

Yesterday, Tarxien PRO Dillon Mercieca said Bueno had decided to move back to Malta and sign a two-year contract with his former club.

Bueno, who attended his first training session yesterday, was also mentioned with a move to Valletta this summer.

Last week, Tarxien completed the signing of three other Brazilian players – Ricardo Costa, Cristiano dos Santos Rodrigues and Sergio Pacheco de Oliveira. Bueno’s signing makes it five Brazil players at Tarxien who retained the services of Ribeiro from last season.

As from this transfer window, Premier League clubs are allowed to sign as many foreigners as they want but they can only field four at a time during competition.
