This conference will look into new energy concepts which are needed to improve the energy efficiency of urban areas, especially in the field of buildings. On the first day of the conference, a presentation on how to use the newest renewable supply simulations for communal energy management is planned. Innovative energy supply concepts using solar thermal, energy management strategies, biomass and photovoltaics will be discussed on the two subsequent conference days.

Over the past decade, open source software has had a global impact on the way software systems and software-based services are developed, distributed and deployed. OSS has been praised for low development and maintenance costs, rapid code turnover, and reliability.
The workshop will bring together researchers from academia and industry who are broadly interested in the quality assessment of open source software projects, ultimately leading to the establishment of coherent certification processes at different levels.
