The Sense Group is urging people not to be village idiots when drinking during village feasts, in a campaign reaching out through band club publications, radio and online media.

The Tkunx il-Buffu tar-Raħal – Don’t Be The Village Fool campaign is aimed at those who abuse alcohol during the summer festa season.

Group chief executive officer Joe Farrugia said that, over the years, TSG had launched several campaigns offering practical recommendations to increase levels of awareness and more use of common sense to combat alcohol misuse.

TSG’s campaigns encourage upholding of the law, promote best practice and inform individual choice by promoting moderate and responsible drinking.

It was founded in 1997 with the aim of pushing a moderate-drinking message among the population.
