Tamsin Davis, Serena Davis and Adam Whitaker of Fault Line Living were presented with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and Land Rover 2010 Go Beyond Bursary, which includes £10,000 and a Land Rover Defender 110, to travel 15,000 miles from Iceland to Iran over 12 weeks. During that period they will gain a detailed understanding of the issues faced by communities living on fault lines.

Starting in Iceland, the team will experience up to 78 earthquakes a day, after which they will travel to Italy, Greece, Turkey and finally Iran.

Along the way they will be working with school students, seismologists and citizens of each country to investigate how different communities adapt to the challenges of fault line living.
