BUSUTTIL. On August 1, JACQUELINE nèe Caruana, aged 79, of Ta' Xbiex, passed away peacefully comforted by the rights of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Louis, her children Fr Edgar SJ, Walter and his wife Angela, Anne, John and his wife Henriette, her grandchildren Joseph, Rosanna, Albina and Karina, her sisters Marian, wife of Joe Paris, and Joan, her brother Henry and his wife Rosanna, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Details of funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

CACHIA. On July 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANNIE, née Micallef, aged 87, widow of Anthony (Tal-Madam), passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Tony and Jo, Charles of Australia, Joe and Doris, Manuel and Cynthia, John and Marisa, Faust, Katie and Manuel, Mario, Frank, Albert, Cettina and Joe, Edgar and Nathalie, and Marygrace and Paul, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Heart Foundation will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CALLEJA. On July 31, FORTUNATA, née Brincat, aged 90, widow of Joseph, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Dr Sylvia and her husband Dr Laurence Zrinzo, Antoinette and her husband Dr Mario Abela, Victor (Junior Lyceum lecturer) and his wife Victoria, and Monica and her husband Prof. Michael Sammut, her grandchildren Ludvic and his wife Mireille, Danielle and her husband Christian, Christopher and his fiancée Sarah, Anthea and her husband Daniel, Roberta and her husband Patrick, Nicholas, and Andrew and his wife Lara, together with her great-grandchildren Ella, Holly, Leo and Nicole, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Gregory parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and Puttinu Cares will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VASSALLO. On August 1, JOHN PAUL, of Siggiewi, aged 71, passed away peacefully at St Vincent de Paul Residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, his children Glorianne and her husband Noel, Michael and his wife Marica, Robert and his wife Nadia, his grandchildren Rebecca, Roberta, Petra, Nicole, Mark, Matthias, David and Britney, his brother Joseph and his wife Rose, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, at 4.15 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Siġġiewi. Lord, Grant him eternal rest.

Requiem mass

Tomorrow being the trigesima die of our beloved ROSIE ZAMMIT LA ROSA, the 5.30 p.m. Mass at the Mensija chapel sanctuary and the 6.30 p.m. Mass at the Immaculate Conception church, Tal-Ibraġ, will be offered for the repose of her soul. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

GALEA CURMI - JOSETTE. Fond and grateful memories of a loving mother and sister, today the 10th anniversary of her passing away to a better life.
