Valletta-based law firm Chetcuti Cauchi has admitted Priscilla Mifsud-Parker and Kenneth Camilleri as partners.
Dr Mifsud-Parker joined the firm in 2003 as a legal trainee, moving up the ranks to senior associate and later to manager with key responsibilities in the firm's corporate and commercial law, tax and trust law practice groups.
A graduate in law with distinction, Dr Mifsud-Parker later read for a Master's in Financial Services specialising in trusts law and taxation. She was instrumental in the growth of the firm's international private clients and corporate practices. Dr Mifsud-Parker is an executive council member and secretary of the Malta branch of the Society for Trusts and Estate Practitioners, and of the Prevention of Money Laundering Committee of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
She has lectured the advanced paper in taxation at a leading Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) training provider.
An accountant by profession, Mr Camilleri has been with the firm for over five years and has spearheaded the growth of its accounting arm. Over the years, he has occupied the positions of financial controller and senior manager of the firm's accounting practice before his appointment as partner. Bringing with him a wealth of industry experience, particularly in the hospitality, steel and gaming industries, Mr Camilleri is a key advisor to the firm's accounting and tax clients.
He has ACCA lecturing experience in the advanced paper in taxation and is in charge of the firm's tax compliance practice. Mr Camilleri sits on the Taxation Committee of the Malta Institute of Accountants and is also the partner in charge of finance within the firm.
Chetcuti Cauchi enjoys a largely international client base and spans the legal, tax, corporate, accounting and assurance professions, with a complement of over 60 professional and support staff. These recent appointments bring the number of partners up to six.
