Bank of Valletta will tomorrow launch a limited offer term deposit account denominated in sterling, paying interest at three per cent per annum.

Interest payments are effected annually. All accounts must satisfy a minimum deposit amount of £5,000.

The account will be available until August 21. It may close earlier at the bank's discretion.

Malta's largest financial institution, BoV is the country's largest deposit taker with total deposits exceeding €5 billion.
