Two immigrants were this morning each jailed for six months suspended to two years after they pleaded guilty to being in possession of fake or forged documents.

Mohamad Hannan, a 31-year-old Syrian, was caught with a forged Greek residence permit while Tati Daro, 27, from Mali was caught trying to escape with a fake Italian passport and residence permit.

Jacob Joseph Grech, 26, of Qala, was fined 200 euros after pleading guilty to being in possession of cannabis.
