Under the bridge

A worker inspects the footbridge spanning Aldo Moro Road, in Marsa where repairs started on Monday. The works, Transport Malta said, were being carried out between 3 and 11 p.m. to minimise the impact on vehicular traffic due to the closure of two lanes on the north-bound carriageway. They are expected to be completed by Friday. An excavator being carted by a trailer hit the underside of the bridge in April, causing widespread traffic disruption which even led to a flight being delayed when a crew got stuck in the mayhem.

Edwin Grech: I was about to comment expressing the same sentiments! You're right. That advertising could easily distract drivers and cause serious accidents. It should down ASAP!

I hppe the has work on the bridge has been satisfactorily completed. I notice several advertising signs above the traffic sighs. Not a good idea in such a busy road! May cause lack of concentration to drivers.
