Local Fiat agent UCIM Co Ltd is offering customers up to €1,000 more for their old car than its current second-hand value when trading it in for a new model.

UCIM Co Ltd said the offer is also valid if the old car is worthless.

Among Europe’s best-selling automotive brands, for the third year running, Fiat has logged the lowest average value for CO2 emissions of cars sold in 2009: 127.8 g/km (it was 133.7 g/km in 2009).

The accomplishment was recognised by Jato, the world leader in automotive advisory and research services.

The eco-friendly achievement is the result of a long-term strategy based on a two-pronged approach: implementing technological solutions aimed at containing consumption and emissions and raising the awareness of motorists to spur a more responsible, eco-compatible use of their car.

“This popular offer is being made available on all our current models, namely the Fiat Grande Punto Series 5, 500, Punto Evo, Panda and the Bravo. The amount offered for the used car will vary according to the new model acquired,” UCIM Co Ltd managing director Francesca Mamo explained.

Payment terms including zero deposit and seven-year instalment periods at an interest rate of 5.7 per cent apply.
