Smells bad, tastes bad...

It may smell bad and taste even worse... but some researchers in India swear by the healing qualities of cow urine and dung.
But does it actually work?
Don't try this at home

One's swearing about the dirt in India.
Foreigners complaining about the dirty environment in Malta, too.
Don't forget, that every country has it's own culture, the own religion and an own special way of life.
How can I be a good christian, if I judge so root about other nations?

How happy are we to start firing degrading comments about other cultures, which most of us have no idea about. Then if someone says something about Malta he deserves to be deported or hanged. Our lifestyle is superior, very true. But don't you think it's fascinating how these people manage to thrive with what they've got? Most of us would be running home to their mamas before the first day ends.

it has to be india ............ lol
by far the most filthy country that i ever visited. one needs to go live for 2 months in maghtab before thinking of going to india. you can smell the odour of rubbish as soon as the airplane's door open. anyone who goes there gets some kind of stomach virus or infection, i just wonder how people get to live there all of their lives
aaa yes the poeple........... those same people that leave cow excresions in the middle of the street thinking its sacred. the people that bury their dead in the same river from where they drink and bathe.....................
those that have put up a sanctuary for rats, care for them feed them after only god knows where they have been

@Joe Borg - It's a shame you found India so repulsive.
I agree that India is a country with huge obstacles to overcome (there are more people living in poverty in India than in all of Sub-Saharan Africa). However, I think your distaste for this country is expressed in quite an offensive manner.
May I remind you that despite centuries of colonization and repression and its and massive problems, India is today a country with one of the highest growth rates in the world and where the standard of living for many hundreds of thousands is increasing more rapidly than many other countries - so much so that "cleaner" countries such as the UK are begging to form part of this economic revolution.
Climbing out of poverty for a country with a population of more than 1 billion is no easy challenge but if that cow dung really gets to you, I can understand why "those people" bother you so much.

Chances are that if it looks like crap, smells like crap, tastes like crap and sounds like crap, then its crap.

Just to evaluate the sense of prioritisation and value of resources that some demographic groups in particular areas around the world have.
So they are happy to have the cow's dung and urine but not its meat that can nourish and fortify them and their families for a better lifestyle.
Well if they are happy to live like that, I am definitely not going to contradict, as long as they do it in their own back yard and not mine.

I doubt very much that the meat can give them a better life style Conrad. It doesn't seem to be doing much for the beef eaters of the world. They may be poor, but they may also be happier and perhaps helthier than most. Has anyone checked the latest cancer and obesity rates in India lately????????
