Drug trafficker caught red handed
A man and two women have been arrested by the police following drug raids in Gzira on Monday afternoon.
The police said they had received a tip-off about drug trafficking from a residence in Ponsomby Street. They kept the place under surveillance for some time and then raided the property and caught a 31-year-old man red-handed as he was preparing heroin for trafficking. 31 drug packets were found. The man was previously known to the police.
The officers also arrested the man's 29-year-old girlfriend and another woman, aged 22, who live near by.
The man is expected to be taken to court and accused of drug possession and trafficking, while the women will be accused of possession.
A magisterial inquiry is under way.

Protect the law-abiding public from such criminals.
Why is he out after being already caught red-handed burglaing residence at Mdina? To do more raids to pay his defence lawyers while his and his partner's victims remain uncolsoled after trauma of having their residence broken into and having their precious items , priceless in sentimental value lost to these culprits?
Get them back behind bars. Society needs to be protected from such scum.

to pay his defence lawyers......who might be members of parliment !!!!thats why the situation is as it is.the people who make our laws are the same people who try to get criminals off the hook, and are very good at finding legal loopholes.members of parliment shoud not work as defence lawyers in the criminal courts

Very good !! Now they will be taken to court and released with a suspended jail sentence and some minor fines. Then off again to the heroin and the packets... to make up for the lost time. .... this time with a vengeance. Sublime !
