Making waves

David Micallef took this picture of the waves hammering the breakwater at Cirkewwa. Strong winds developed on Saturday and continued up to yesterday but have eased today.

Mr Micallef said the crashing waves were so intense that the sea spray was being carried across the road.

@ A. Bonnett & M. Debono

... Wind Energy, Wave Energy, Solar Energy... all look very promising :) I am no engineer but a geographer quoting from my pervious study - strong winds are frequent with only 8% of the days in a year are found to be calm, the predominant North Westerly blows on average 19% of all windy days annually - . obviously for these projects to go ahead Environmental Impact Assessments should be carried out. Would be interesting to see whether our island can benefit from wind energy.

Mr.Azzopardi don't you have anything better to do?If you don't have a positive comment to write then don't write one at all.

Well done to Mr.David Micallef for sharing his photo!
