There will be no final between Inter and Roma after the pair were put in the same half of the draw for the 2010/11 Italian Cup yesterday.

Inter and Roma have contested five of the last six Coppa Italia finals, with the Nerazzurri winning three of them.

Last season, Inter beat Claudio Ranieri’s Roma 1-0 at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico thanks to a Diego Milito goal.

But following the draw, the pair are due to meet in the semi-finals, and should they do so it would be the seventh year in a row they meet in the cup as in 2008/09 Inter beat Roma in the quarter-finals.

The competition begins on August 8 with the final due to be held on May 29, probably again in Rome.
